I was listening to Kirk Franklin’s song, “My Life Is In Your Hands”. It mentions, “I know that I can make it, I know that I can stand, no matter what may come my way, my life is in Your hands.”
When I feel I am being tested, I see my strengths and weaknesses. There can be times when all that stands out in your life seems to be your weaknesses. The difference now when I think of my weaknesses I begin to say, “but God… “This may not be working out, but God…” “That is not suppose to happen, but God…” “I can’t, but God …”
2nd Corinthians 12:9 states, But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
This verse of scripture is very encouraging to me. If I am willing to turn those weaknesses over to Him, He can and will make up the difference. Of course I don’t believe He wants you to make excuses for matters that you can improve or work on.
But you don’t have to beat yourself up because that weakness is exposed. But trust in Him to see if He wants you to make the change or if He is just telling you, “look to My grace.”
The Lord delights in those who fear Him who put their hope in His unfailing love. Psalm 147:11 (NIV)
